The executive director Vyacheslav Zhuravlev told about the readiness for the World Chess Cup and presentation of the Executive Directory of the competition on the FIDE Presidential Board meeting in Al Ain (UAE) in June, 5−6.

The purpose of the trip was the presentation of a new Executive Directory of the World Chess Cup on the FIDE Presidential Board meeting, where representatives of all Continental chess federations got together.

Besides, Khanty-Mansiysk delegation submitted an application for the World Chess Championship among women in 2012. The Executive Directory prepared the presentation which was performed to the chess public, heads of chess federations from all over the world and FIDE Directory. This presentation contained the information about the facilities,which will be involved in the competition, the team of specialists of the Executive Directory,as well as the executed work in preparation for the tournament.

Vyacheslav Zhuravlev also noted that the Management of sport events of «UgraMegaSport» held the chess competitions many times. Specialists of the institution organized the Governor of Ugra Chess Cups and other competitions together with the Chess Federation of autonomous okrug. «The experience of big international competitions and regional tournaments allows us to be sure that the World Cup will be held at the top level» — he added.
