[1]The last 48 chess players have arrived in Khanty-Mansiysk early morning on 27 August.

Ugra welcomed the guests in a traditional way with bread, salt and cedar berries.

The chess players arrived in a good mood and ready to fight. At the airport of Khanty-Mansiysk the atmosphere was friendly, the future rivals were actively discussing the coming tournament and despite the fact that already tomorrow on 28 August they will have to face each other at the chess board.

The flight, according to chess players, was satisfactory, however, not without adventures. For instance, the Russian player Artem Timofeev registered on the flight Moscow-Khanty-Moscow 3 minutes before due to delayed flight from Kazan. Another chess player from Armenia Arman Pashikian found himself in the same situation. None of the obstacles appeared during the trip did not influence their state of being. I come to this wonderful Siberian town for the 5th time, — Arman Pashikian says. — I am very happy that the World Cup is taking place in Khanty-Mansiysk again. Khanty-Mansiysk is a beautiful town and people here are very friendly and sympathetic. Unfortunately, during the previous competitions I did not have time to visit any of the local museums and I am planning to catch up with it this time and I will definitely spare some time to the cultural program».

Let us remind you that the Opening Ceremony will take place today on August 27 in the в Concert Theater Center «Ugra-Classic" at 8 p.m. The first round of the World Cup is scheduled for  August 28. The entrance for spectators is free of charge.
