NOTHING THREATENS HEALTH STATE OF ADLY

The Egyptian Grandmaster Ahmed Adly did not appear at the second game of the first Round. As we got to know Ahmed was hospitalized to the regional clinic due to health problems.

According to the Head of the Tournament Medical Service Oleg Yudin, who was personally controlling the situation, there was nothing dangerous that threatened the chess player’s health.

After being hospitalized the player was examined by doctors who found out the left kidney renal calculus. «The specialists of the medical center took a number of analyses that resulted in the diagnosis mentioned above. Taking into consideration the fact that recently Mr. Adly went through sharp pains several times, it was decided to resort to the medical interference» — commented Oleg Yudin. Modern technologies applied in Khanty-Mansiysk hospitals allow to operate avoiding interference and anesthesia. Thanks to the high professionalism local doctors achieved a positive result — the renal calculus was completely removed from the organism.

«Thanks to the up-to-date medical treatment methods the rehabilitation period is shorter and the patient will leave the hospital the next day» — underlined the medical service press-officer. Answering the question about his further plans Ahmed Adly said that he would not violate the schedule of his performances and would continue playing at the coming tournament in Mozambique. The Grandmaster will leave Khanty-Mansiysk on the 1st of September.
